Abstract

Energy management system of transmission power system is essential for stable and reliable power system operation. It is composed of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), generation management, power system network analysis and DTS(Dispatcher’s Training System) on the integrated platform which supports consistent real-time and historical data handling. This presentation will show the development and operation of energy management system of transmission power system in South Korea. We will also show that this work was extended in microgrid operation and our experiences will be addressed. Lastly, we will present the interoperability of energy management.
