Frank Talke has unanimously been elected an Honorary Member of ASME "for contributions to information storage technology, color ink jet printing and medical device technology."
ASME Honorary Membership is awarded for a lifetime of service to engineering or related fields--e.g. science, research, public service. This achievement is described as "distinguished service that contributes significantly to the attainment of the goals of the engineering profession." Ranking closely with Honorary Membership is the ASME Medal which is awarded for "eminently distinguished engineering achievement."
